GO SOX!
Ah yes…The Boston Red Sox have done it again. They won the American League Championship Series Last night. They came back, after trailing the series to the Cleveland Indians three games to one, to win the American League Pennant four games to three. The series was reminiscent of the 2004 ALCS during which the Sox came back from a 3-0 deficit to beat the evil Yankees 4-3.
During last night’s game, The Boy was getting calls on his cell phone from a good friend who’s attending Boston College. He was very close to Fenway last night. He also happens to be a fan of the Evil Yankees. After Dustin Pedroia hit a grand slam in the 7th inning, the friend called and asked what happened (he heard the roar of the crowd). My son told him. The friend said, “I hate my life.” They laughed.
Game one of the World Series starts on Wednesday. Boston will face the Colorado Rockies. A friend of mine thinks the Rockies will win. It’s a free country. He can believe what he wants – Even the preposterous.
